Q: How long did it take to write "In the Cherry Tree"?

A: The first draft was written in about 3 months in consecutive nights working from midnight to 6 a.m. Not a single word was written before midnight. Multiple revisions were done over the following two years.

Q: What are some of Dan's favorite books?

A: "Light Years" by James Salter. "Quarantine" by Jim Crace. "The Names" by Don DeLillo. "From the Teeth of Angels" by Jonathan Carroll. "Blood Meridian" by Cormac McCarthy. "Jimmy Corrigan" by Chris Ware.

Q:  What's Dan's favorite animal?

A:  Click and see! This is a picture of Dan and Bert taken by the webmaster at 3 a.m. after they watched "Roadhouse" starring Patrick Swayze for the tenth time. That's a red holiday bow around Bert's neck.

Q: Did the incidents with the bicycle pump and rye glass really take place?
